MALEWA RANCH HOUSE & BUSH SCHOOL

Malewa Bush School offers a unique ‘eco-experience’ and venue for corporate and schools team building, leadership and adventure activities matched by no other in Kenya, and only one and a half hours from Nairobi.

Location: 17km from Naivasha, along the Gilgil - Nyahururu highway and set in the heart of a magnificent Malewa valley, the new dissemination centre provides a perfect venue for business meetings, team building and incentive programmes.

Malewa Bush School: The main facility is suitable for 40 to 50 people with LCD projection unit, TV/Video unit, screens and flip charts. The conferencing area has a spacious lounge and dining room overlooking shaded lawns and acacia trees on the banks of the Malewa River. This serene location has a very relaxed atmosphere and is conducive for uninterrupted meetings. Open log fires at night give warmth and a convivial atmosphere for further discussion.

Customised to modern day business demands, the high and low ropes Challenge Courses are located alongside the centre.

Programmes to suit business needs: Team building, corporate/schools challenges and incentive weekends.

  1. Off-course team building initiatives: These are set up for specific business needs using props to achieve specific objectives and goals.

   

  1. Challenge course: Built to US safely specification, this offers a wide variety of team building challenges that are personal to your demands. The progression from the low ropes to the high ropes course, present groups with a highly demanding variety of challenges that are impossible without coordinated teamwork and individual courage.

   

  1. Adventure activities that can be incorporated into your programmes also include Community partnership, Horse riding, Nature walks, Bird watching, and swimming.

   

So what better way to break out than to be ‘challenged’ between ‘boardroom’ ‘classroom’ sessions!

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS:

1. Malewa Ranch House

The luxurious 5 bedroom Malewa Ranch House sleeps ten adults in twin or double rooms. The Ranch house is offered on an all-inclusive basis (accommodation, meals, all drinks, nature walks and game drives).

   

  1. Malewa ‘Bush’ school.

Option one: ‘Executive camping’ in ‘Serengeti’ style tents complete with beds, bedding, bed-side tables and veranda tables/chairs set out on a spacious lawn, with good ablution facilities. Option two: ‘Standard camping’ two man tents with mattresses and bedding on the floor.

ONE-DAY OPTION:

09.30 Arrive at Malewa Ranch. Introduction, refreshments, Icebreakers and programme brief.

Morning Session: Group divided into smaller groups (10 to 12 pax) for team building activities on the low elements at the challenge course or off course team building initiatives.

13.30 to 14.30: Lunch.

Afternoon Session: Three options to choose from: High elements or continuation of low elements at the challenge course.

Or

The option of a guided nature walk taking in aspects such as bird and animal identification, tracking, plant identification and medicinal uses. Environmental and conservation issues explored.

16.30: Tea and coffee, final de-brief and conclusions.

TWO-DAY OPTION:

Day One

12.00 Arrive at Malewa Ranch/Bush School. Introduction, refreshments, Icebreakers and programme brief.

13.00 Light Lunch

Afternoon Session: Group divided into smaller groups (if necessary) for the team building activities. Debrief and conclusions.

Tea/Coffee Break

Early evening: Guided nature walk taking in aspects such as bird and animal identification, tracking, plant identification and medicinal uses. Environmental and conservation issues explored.

19.30: Dinner around a big log fire, relaxing, story telling, games, singing and dancing!

Day Two

07.30: Breakfast

Morning Session: High elements at the challenge course.

13.00: Lunch

14.00: Debrief and conclusions

14.30: Depart
